SMALLER WATER FOOTPRINT Compared to almonds, pistachios require 75% less water to produce making it a much more sustainable option. A single glass of almond milk requires 74L of water to produce. That’s more than a typical shower but not as much as glass of cow’s milk. Pistachio milk uses about 6x less water than dairy milk and almost 4x less than almond milk.
