INTENDED USE: If you are experiencing unusual vaginal discharge, odor, itching, pain, dryness, or burning during urination or sex, you should test your vaginal pH.
TEST BEFORE YOU TREAT: Pelvana vaginal pH test strips can help you differentiate between 3 common vaginal infections. Testing your vaginal pH levels and matching your unwanted vaginal symptoms can help you determine if you are suffering from a bacterial infection, yeast infection, or another common vaginal infection.
WHAT YOU GET: This box contains 50 vaginal pH test strips. Test strips are packaged in 5 air-tight packs with 10 test strips each.
GETTING STARTED: When opening a foil pack, the reagent pad at the tip of the pH test strip should be yellow (this means it is fresh and ready to test). Use the QR code to view the common vaginal infections chart.
30 SECONDS: It is critical to the accuracy of the test that you measure the color change of the reagent pad at the tip of the pH test strip, exactly 30 seconds after testing. The chemicals on the reagent pad will continue to react and change color, so results after 30 seconds are invalid.
HOW TO TEST: Using a regular household cotton swab (not included), gently insert the swab against the vaginal wall and carefully rotate several times to collect a sample of vaginal fluid. Remove the swab and wet the reagent pad at the tip of the test strip.
RESULTS: Match your pH test strip color result (at exactly the 30-second mark), and the unwanted vaginal symptoms you are experiencing, to the common vaginal infections chart.
PH LEVELS: The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral (like water). Pelvana vaginal pH strips are calibrated for low-range testing between 3.5 and 6.5 (for vaginal fluid), so using water to test the strips will produce a dark blue color.
EXTERNAL USE: Please note that the pH test strips are for external use only and should not be inserted directly into the vagina.
PRODUCT LIMITATIONS: Do not test if you are experiencing any perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms and you are not using hormone therapy. Do not test if you have any signs of menstruation or vaginal bleeding. Do not test if it is less than 48 hours after intercourse or vaginal douching.
