Lead2Amazon is an Amazon search and output system built on Amazon’s PA-API 5.
Using a PC, tablet, or smartphone, users can perform customized Amazon searches and outputs, including BibTeX export for books.
[However, Lead2Amazon cannot display Amazon product information or generate BibTeX output.]
Due to an implicit change in Amazon’s PA-API 5 policy in November 2025 (English article), a new requirement was effectively imposed: at least 10 qualified sales associated with an affiliate tag within the past 30 days. As a result, it has become difficult for Lead2Amazon to display Amazon product information or provide BibTeX output.
As noted in the request shown in the green section below, since the PA-API policy revision in 2019, a requirement of at least 1 qualified sale associated with an affiliate tag within the past 30 days had already been in place. To meet this requirement, I asked Lead2Amazon users to make tagged purchases and created simple Amazon product introduction pages such as Lead2Goods. In this way, I managed to satisfy the requirement. However, maintaining more than 10 sales within every 30-day period on a continuous basis is extremely difficult. In addition, I believe that web services should not depend on platforms whose APIs are unstable or whose policies are changed implicitly without prior notice. While I will continue efforts to improve affiliate-tag-related sales through the request below and services such as Lead2Goods, I am considering alternative approaches for book BibTeX output that do not rely on Amazon’s PA-API.
If you plan to purchase items on Amazon.com, please add the affiliate tag le2am-20 to the URL.
Due to changes to Amazon’s API Terms of Service on January 23, 2019, as well as an implicit policy update in November 2025, API requests made by associates with insufficient sales performance are now being rejected.
Even if Lead2Amazon doesn't show search results, the affiliate tag in the URL remains valid. If you add ?tag=le2am-20 to the end of the URL to access the official Amazon.com, it helps improve the availability of Lead2Amazon. (example: https://www.amazon.com/?tag=le2am-20) In addition, I am grateful that I receive referral fees of a few percent of sales as Amazon gift card credit by sales.
